Coaching Agreement


Coaching is an ongoing relationship between the coach and the client. Through this relationship the opportunity for success for the coaching client dramatically increases because changing habits and creating possibilities is a process. It is the Coaching structure that facilitates the process of personal, professional and/or spiritual development. The Client and the Coach agree that the coaching relationship will be designed together.

Coaching is for individuals who are emotionally and psychologically healthy and who want to make changes and move forward in their lives. Coaching is not advice, therapy or counselling. By entering into this relationship, the coach and the client acknowledge that the Client wants to make significant progress and change in his or her life.

The Coach is committed to following the ICF Code of Ethics, including the Ethical Conduct Review Process which can be found on the ICF website.


Coaching sessions may be conducted by face to face meetings, but due to distance and time considerations may also be conducted by video conference/webinar/telephone. 

When utilizing means other than face to face, the Coach agrees to call the Client, at the scheduled appointment time upon the agreed number. The Coach and client commit to start and finish each session on time. If the client is more than 10 minutes late for a coaching session, the Coach will assume the session is cancelled and the client will forfeit the session fee.

The Client has available to them the services of the Coach for the entire appointment time. During that time, the Client identifies the area of coaching required and a dynamic coaching process ensues. A dynamic coaching session can cover many areas of the client’s life, it is agreed that investigation of these areas adds to the overall quality of coaching. The Coach agrees to inform the client when they perceive a change in coaching direction has taken place or is necessary. The Coach will maintain a high level of communication regarding the coaching process, during the session.

Coaching sessions are booked in advance at an mutually agreed time.

Rescheduling a coaching session is easily done with appropriate notice. Please allow for at least 24 hours’ notice for appointment changes. In between coaching sessions, the client may feel free to text or e‐mail the Coach. The Coaching Agreement may be altered at any time by negotiation.


All coaching sessions will be timed at either 1 hour or 30minutes or any combination of these. Fees will be charged to the client’s credit card and invoiced separately. Payment on invoice may be accepted by negotiation. An hourly rate of up to $195 per hour (Includes travelling time) will apply to all coaching sessions except where a YB12 or Sum Sanos program has been purchased. When being coached under a program it is the program fees that apply. All fees and charges are defined as exclusive of GST. Program fees are payable before the start of the program unless by individual negotiation. Program fees will not be refunded but held for the client to reinstate their coaching program within a reasonable and mutually agreeable time.


The coaching relationship is built on a solid foundation of trust. The Coach agrees to keep all conversations and information with the Client private and confidential. No personal ideas, information or thoughts expressed will be shared with anyone except with the permission of the Client. The Coach will ask the Client for referral business, testimonials and comments and the client agrees that these can be used for public information purposes.


The Coach is completing ongoing skill development and may ask the Client if contact details can be shared for the purposes of ICF (International Coaching Federation) accreditation. Contact details will be limited to name, phone and email address to allow ICF to verify coaching if required.
